I first learned of Derek Hynd when he wrote Surfer Magazines Top 30(the protoype to Lewis SamuelsPower Rankings) back in the day. I thought he was a blunt, brutal, brilliant writer. Watching this I realize Derek Hynd is also a brilliant surfer. An ex-pro who lost his eye in a freak surfing accident, here he is still going strong and pushing surfings...
