Sentimentally Part 12 Public Enemy Night of the Living Baseheads
Took me a little while to get it, but once I got it I was hooked. For a 19 year old college student who didnt know nothin' about nothin' I was mesmerized. PE was a unique in so many ways, and their message(s) were so inspiring to so many, with that trademark urgent, repeating sample acting as a sort of siren prodding you to action(or at least waking you into thinking). Chuck D's hard, straight forward delivery, Flava Flav's outrageous style and Teminator X's revolutionary sound made for a killer combination. This songs social commentary is not lost beneath the music in the track. Instead, the music gets you into thinking about the message. And that was their power. Dont take my word for it. Listen for yourselves...
